The Riparian Restoration and Willow Removal project commenced in October 2009 and will complement the Mahldhangilana River Restoration works.
Council has resolved to provide public notice of its intention to introduce a $22.00 Annual Domestic Waste Management Charge in 2009/10 under Section 496 of the Local Government Act.
In accordance with Section 420 of the Local Government Act, 1993, any person may make a submission in writing to Council with respect to the Council's Audited Financial Reports or the Auditor's Reports. Submissions close on the 26th October 2009.
Cr Kerry Pascoe has today accepted with regret the resignation of General Manager Lyn Russell. Ms Russell has accepted the challenging role of Chief Executive Officer, Cairns Regional Council.
