Social Planning

Social Planning aims to promote the well being of the community by investigating and responding to the needs and aspirations of all the people who live and work in it.

To do this every 5 years Council prepares a Social/Community plan.

The Plan is the key reference point for interaction between Council and the community. It clarifies the community profile, identifies community strengths and service gaps, and the areas in which future work should be directed.

The creation of the plan and the work identified in the plan is completed in partnership with both community groups and agency organisations.
