Riverina Water County Council's filtration plant and bores in the City environs are the principal sources of supply of water for Wagga Wagga and the County area, which also takes in Lockhart, Urana, Culcairn and Holbrook Shires.

All parts of the urban area are reticulated with filtered, chlorinated and fluoridated water, and the extensive reliable resources of the Murrumbidgee River and the under ground sources ensure a plentiful supply of potable water.

The treated water is pumped to service reservoirs of Willans Hill, Glenfield and Bomen, then reticulated throughout the City area and to Gumly Gumly, Forest Hill, Ladysmith, San Isidore, Kapooka, Currawarna, Mangoplah, Uranquinty, The Rock, Pleasant Hills, Yerong Creek, Henty and Morven.

Further sources of supply have been installed for Tarcutta, Humula, Woomargama, Morundah, Rand, Collingullie, Walbundrie and Oura.
