Notice of Intention to Levy a new Domestic Waste Management Charge

Closing date for submissions is 9 November 2009

Council has resolved to provide public notice of its intention to introduce a $22.00 Annual Domestic Waste Management Charge in 2009/10 under Section 496 of the Local Government Act for those rural residential properties within the waste collection area that are not utilising Council's waste collection service but are utilising an alternate service provider.

The proposed new charge is limited to a list of 122 properties primarily in the rural residential areas of Lake Albert and Springvale.
