school tours

The Wagga Wagga City Library , in conjunction with other Wagga Wagga City Council cultural facilities (Museum of the Riverina, Civic Theatre, Art Gallery and Environment Services), has developed a joint education program.

This program is aimed at providing primary and high schools with all of the information about what Council can offer to schools, with on-site visits, outreach services and online services.

Information about this program is available by visiting the Education @ Wagga Wagga City Council website. Using the details provided you can contact one of the Education Officers to assist you in coordinating a tour that combines two or more cultural facilities.

Planning a visit to the Library only?

The Wagga Wagga City Library has a diverse collection of resources for students of all stages, with specialised School Certificate and HSC study guides covering a range of subject areas. The library has substantial online resources which are accessible 24/7 with a current library card, including: encyclopaedias; science, health, literature, legal and medical databases; and full-text online newspapers and magazines.

We also offer tailored tours, programs and events for students of all stages to meet the educational and recreational needs of our school community. To ensure a great experience and to put a smile on the faces of your students, teachers and library staff, it is essential to book library tours at least two weeks in advance.

To book your visit, contact the Library by phone 02 6926 9700 or email us at wcl@wagga.nsw.gov.au.
