An Afternoon At The Proms - A Musical Spectacular

The ACE Award winning "Best Production Show" in Australia.

Australia’s most acclaimed international violinist Ian Cooper is joined by opera stars, prima ballerinas, Australia’s current champion Pipe Band and the Blue Danube Orchestra to evoke the sheer exuberance of An Afternoon At The Proms - A Musical Spectacular.

This stunning spectacular brings history’s most beloved music to life with masterpieces of the Viennese court and the works of Johann Strauss II. Enjoy selections from Bizet’s Carmen, The Sound of Music, The Merry Widow and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, along with haunting renditions of Irish favourites, a salute to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the romance of the Hungarian Gypsy Orchestras. This musical and visual spectacular is set to raise the roof!

Our host, violinist Ian Cooper was commissioned to compose and perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney Olympics - broadcast around the world to 2.85 billion viewers. That’s as big as any Australian performer gets.

An Afternoon at the Proms performance repertoire includes Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, The Can-Can & Radetzky March. Also Amazing Grace & Highland Cathedral with the combined Pipe Band and orchestra.

The producers have a fabulous team of performers who have all worked tirelessly to bring this production to Australian audiences.

"‘An afternoon At The Proms - A Musical Spectacular’ attracted 2 full houses of approximately 4,000 people in The Sydney Town Hall. Feedback from the audience was ecstatic! They raved about the dancers, the soloists, the choir, the orchestra and the wonderfully accomplished and incredible Ian Cooper!" - Roy Watterson. OAM Nostalgia Productions

"Ian Cooper's show has amongst the most talented and accomplished artists in Australia today. Saturday’s performances received standing ovations both during and after the shows, and brought great enjoyment to the audience. As the booker, I couldn't be happier or more proud." - Nigel Lampe, Director, W.T.S. Entertainment
