Henwood Park

Henwood Park Skate Park

Wagga Wagga City Council has commenced construction of a youth skate facility, located at Henwood Park in Kooringal. The implementation of this exciting development meets recommendations set out in the Wagga Wagga City Council's Recreation and Open Space Strategy (2005). The project has been designed by an industry leader in skate facility development. It will consist of a series of small "street style" skate activities, a ½ court basketball space and seating. The facility will be located on the western side of Henwood Park adjacent to Lake Albert Road.

This project will enhance the access to recreational facilities for the youth of Kooringal and surrounding suburbs, who make up approximately 25% of the total population. The project is well situated to capture this population through nearby schools and the Kooringal Mall shopping precinct.
